Construction 101
This is a list of general information about the services we offer. These definitions are not unique to our services, but are presented to help you learn more about the terminology we use in our field. Please enjoy!

Millwork
Millwork refers decorative non-structural materials produced by a sawmill. Items such as baseboards, molding and window trim are referred to as Millwork.

Tenant Finish Out
Tenant Finish Out refers to the improvement of a commercial space before a tenant moves in. Contractors and architects work together to customize leased spaces for a tenant's specific needs.

Masonry
Masonry refers to stonework. Common masonry materials are bricks or building stones such as marble, granite, concrete blocks and adobe.

Insulation
Insulation refers to materials used to block the flow of energy. In attics or between walls, insulation stops heat escaping in the winter and keeps cold air inside during the summer.

Drywall
Drywall, also called wallboard or sheetrock, is used to form the flat interior walls and ceilings of a structure. Drywall can be textured and painted in a variety of ways.

Furniture Restoration
Furniture Restoration is the process of returning a piece of furniture back to its original condition. It often involves sanding, repolishing, and replacing fabric and padding.
